Para Pedir Calavera
Paloma de San Vicente
tejida de tule blanco:
somos almas inocentes
almas del Chichiuacuauhco.
Acompaña al Sol poniente
con tu melodioso canto;
ofréndanos con juguetes,
con tambores y silbatos,
con chocolate caliente
y con dulces de amaranto.
Palomita de San Juan
de alas de tejamanil:
somos almas del Mictlán
te venimos a pedir
coloques en nuestro altar
Cempoalxochitl y Jazmín
en un brasero el copal,
en un plato el zacahuil,
en un vasito el mezcal
y en el cielo tu perfi l.

Cabaret Night Auditions Tomorrow!!!!

Final reminder for Cabaret Night Auditions!
Auditions are TUESDAY, Oct 28th, at 2:15 in the MPS.

(please note the room change…)

Please share the following information with your students and encourage them to audition! Some posters are already up, and you will be seeing more in the coming weeks.

What is Cabaret Night?
A night of acting, singing, dancing, and fun. Anyone can perform and it is not a competition.

When is it?
*This year’s Cabaret Night will be held on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30 in the MPS.

How do I get to perform?
*The only requirements are that you audition on Tuesday, October 28th and that you attend tech rehearsals after school on Nov 4th and 5th. Students from all three small schools are welcome to audition.

Do I have to be totally prepared by the audition date?
No, but you need to be able to show Ms. Bishop at least one prepared part of your act and explain the rest. You will need to be fully practiced and prepared by November 4th at the latest.

What types of performances do you accept?
Any type! Comedy, Lip Syncs, Magic tricks, Songs, Dances, Scenes, anything at all, as long as it is school appropriate and under 5 minutes long.

How much are tickets and where can I get them?
Tickets will be $4.00 and you can buy them at the MPS door on November 6th, the night of the show. (Staff can get in for free!)

Can teachers and staff audition?
But of course.

When are auditions again?
Auditions are TUESDAY, Oct 28th, at 2:15 in the MPS.
