Evergreen Campus to Host Family Science Night!

Have you ever wanted to use chemicals to make an explosion? Do you want to know how fireworks work? Have you ever wanted to play with a rubbery egg? Do you want to observe the stars and the moon? Try all of these things - and more!
Science teachers from all three schools (HS3, TEC, and AAA) are hosting Evergreen Campus Family Science Night on Tuesday, January 25, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Evergreen Cafeteria. All parents/guardians are encouraged to attend with their student.
Parents will participate with their students in science experiments.
A variety of science stations will be set up to give families a sense of what students are learning and how they’re learning in science classes on campus. Families will participate in different science activities and learn from their students.

For every job opening on October 4, 2010, there were 4.4 unemployed people reports Time magazine in its January 17 issue. Who is getting these jobs? Those who are better educated.


According to Moody’s, an analytical service working with figures provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers with a graduate, bachelor’s, associate degree, or even some college experience, will get an increasing share of all jobs that are created. Time says that in 2011, the better educated control 60.1% of all new jobs. By 2015, the projection rises to 66.4%.

Women have the edge over men because they are better educated and are more likely to enter the careers expanding the most, namely, health and education. More women than men, by a 3 to 2 margin, earn college degrees. Whether you are a male or a female, those who reach the top positions will be well educated, technically competent, and prepared for the global workplace.

We will be visiting your Senior Capstone/Advisory classes to assist you in completing your FAFSA. Please make sure you have the following information: your social security #, Your FAFSA pin, your parents 2010 income information (W-2's or a pay stub and/or 2010 tax return), Your parents social security #, birthdate, & marriage/divorce date, and their pin. If you are not a US citizen please have your alien registration card.
